Hi, I’m Jay
I came to marketing strategy the long way around — and I think that's exactly what makes the difference.
I spent fifteen years teaching at the college level and twenty-five years working as a theatre artist. What I learned in those four decades — about how people hear things, what they need before they trust, what story actually does to a room — turned out to be more useful in marketing than most marketing training.
I started JW Strategy because I believe in small businesses. Not as a market segment. As something genuinely worth fighting for. The person who opens a restaurant because they love food, the therapist who starts their own practice, the maker who decides to sell what they've been building in their garage — these people are doing something courageous. They are, in their own quiet way, refusing to do things someone else's way.
My job is to make sure the outside world understands what the inside of their business already knows: that they're good at this, that they're trustworthy, and that they're worth choosing.
I work with a small number of clients at any given time — not because I can't handle more, but because this kind of partnership requires actual attention. You'll work with me directly, every session. No account managers, no handoffs, no layers between us.
If that sounds like what you've been looking for, I'd like to talk.
